The SISC Student Accident Coverage program is a self-insured, proactive department whose primary functions are to:
- Provide protection for uninsured students;
- Promote positive relations with schools;
- Achieve savings in claims dollars by preventing simple injuries from becoming liability cases.
The department is unique in that we offer many value-added services at either no extra cost or minimal cost to the school district or student. Some of the programs included in the Student Accident Coverage at no extra charge to the school district are:
- Field trip coverage
- Non-paid Work Based Learning Programs
- R.O.T.C. accident coverage
- Snow Ski coverage (school sponsored only)
- Bill Cost Containment through Interplan
- Negotiated Bill Settlement through Advanced Review
- Student Accident/Tackle Football informational presentations to coaches and trainers; clerical staff; administration, and parents
- Daycare/Extended daycare program coverage
